We can design your entertainment based on your budget, venue size and any other specific needs. We play as an 8-piece band with male and female lead vocals and horns in the premium package. Our most booked packages are the 7 & 8 piece setups so it’s always LIVE and always fun!
We can tailor our look for your special day. We roll out in boutique formal dress as our standard attire and we can adjust from there by going Black Tie or Smart Casual. Included as part of your booking is our pre-reception meeting approximately 1 month before the big day where we can confirm your needs.
We play music for the Hora, the Tarantella (as well as some other Italian classics), an Anglo-Indian Grand March and Kolo LIVE. This ensures you get a rockin dance floor with all the party hits you love as well as music for your relatives who have often travelled very far to share this night with you. We work with you and your venue to make sure you get exactly what you want. Yes, DJ services are included in all live band packages and MC services can be added for a small fee, so there’s no need to ask a family member or friend to help you out if they’re not confident. Our professional DJ and MC services keep the party moving during formalities and in the short band breaks when the dance floor is jumping, so you can let all your guests relax and enjoy the night! If you do have someone that can do this for you, we will work with them on the night and they are most welcome to use our wireless microphone. Yes, no problem at all. Normally venues have their own setup and it may be best to use theirs, but we can work this out with you and the venue to make sure we have you covered.
No, we believe in great music with great musicians who play together all the time. We are well rehearsed, tight, and often showcase 3 and 4 part vocal harmonies. We are a professional and tight-knit collective of musicians and we love playing wedding music in Melbourne as a wedding band! You also get to preference your choice of band leaders and as we play together in both the Melbourne corporate and wedding scenes, you can rest assured in the unlikely event of an emergency or illness, we’ve got you covered.
Our packages include up to 5 1/2 hours attendance featuring multiple sets of live music, and background music all controlled through our sound system. Set times can be adjusted to fit in with your running sheet and formalities. We think great Melbourne wedding bands must be flexible to keep the party going. We work to accommodate you and the formalities on the night.
It takes us approximately 60 – 90 mins (just prior to the reception) to fully set up and sound-check the band. This is included in your booking and we work with your venue to ensure this does not interfere with your event.
Yes, we often play a bridal waltz or a special dance. Having your wedding band perform your bridal waltz is all part of the fun of hiring a specialist wedding band. Contact us and let us know what you have in mind. We’ll be in touch within 24 hours to discuss it with you.
Absolutely! You can see a list of some of our favourites on the Meet the band page (there is a larger list available by email) and we pride ourselves on our versatility as a Melbourne wedding band. If there are a couple of songs you want that we don’t have listed we can learn them especially for you. We work with you to ensure you get a tailored night of music that you and all your guests will enjoy.
The Craig Francis Music crew also retains one of Melbourne’s best string quartets and we can easily add them to our entertainment packages. They can also be booked separately.
