It was a stunning day on 6th February 2021 and the scene was set for an amazing night of food, friends and fun. Michelle and Tom kicked things off with a late afternoon elegant and relaxed ceremony on the grounds at Yarra Valley Estate (A perfect Yarra Valley Wedding destination). Half an hour later, Michelle and Tom were married and off for pre reception snaps and some time to chill before the party.
The guests enjoyed some lovely afternoon weather, drinks and canapés outdoors before moving into the beautiful restaurant area of the venue. Yarra Valley Estate, focussed on amazing food, sustainable practices and exemplary customer service, was the perfect destination for Michelle and Tom and you could feel the energy in the room when the MC invited the bridal party to join the guests at their tables. The reception kicked off with some delicious entrees and a gorgeous jazz set from one of the premier wedding bands Melbourne offers, Craig Francis Music. Already the guests were itching to get their grooves on, with the Photo Booth near the dance floor getting a big work out before the main course. Some heartfelt speeches and the cake cutting followed.
Michelle and Tom then invited guests to join them around the dance floor with a live rendition of Chet Faker’s cover of No Diggity for their first dance, and the party was on! The crowd was in it to win it from the very start with everyone taking to the dance floor like they had not danced in almost a year! The 7 piece band played everything from 70s and 80s dance floor classics, RnB to some special indie requests; Mumford and Sons and The Killers.
A ridiculously amazing Cheese and Dessert Station, some massive sing alongs with two encores and a farewell Arch at the end of the night topped it all off. Michelle and Tom then moved on with their guests to the after party onsite and could not have planned a more perfect end to the perfect day!
The band received the following email a week later and no doubt we’ll be seeing Yarra Valley Estate and Craig Francis Music together again soon 🙂
